Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a happy and safe 4th!
With the 4th of July holiday, it was a shortened week which is always nice but it also feels like I've been playing catch up all week. Not to mention, I had house guests for several days, so playing catch up on all my house work as well... I need another holiday! Haha.
Let's jump right into this week's favorites!
I actually recently bought and revamped one of these same cutting boards (with some gold paint of course) but I never thought to make my own little cactus cutting board! So cute! Especially for a summer party in the desert!
If you don't already watch "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", I definitely recommend that you do, just for my favorite character, Titus Andromedon. He seriously steals the show and has me dying laughing any time he's on screen. Anyways, he has a song on the show called Pinot Noir and even though I don't generally drink red wine, I will make an exception for this.
I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit, I'm in my 30's and have never purchased what I would consider a "grown up couch". Well, that all changed last weekend. My mom and I went to Living Spaces (I had never been and really didn't know what to expect) and went on a hunt for the perfect couch. It had to be something somewhat modern and my husbands one request was that it be "comf" (aka comfortable). I was somewhat overwhelmed by all the different fabric options but finally decided on a modern grey and can not WAIT to see it! I really like that there are only two cushions because the couches we have now, I always find myself falling in the cracks. As with any major purchase, I spent the whole car ride home questioning my decision (couches aren't cheap after all!) but I'm sure I will love it. I should be getting it in a week or so, so I'll keep you posted!
Yes... it's another DIY using those mini Ikea cutting boards! But in a completely different way! I absolutely LOVE this idea of providing your guests a serving tray/drink holding duo. I may have to cut the board I already have to create one of these bad boys!
And lastly, it's no secret that I have a love for all things Palm Springs, we got married there after all. I'm constantly on the hunt for some Palm Springs/desert inspired art for our home, specifically our bedroom. I love the modern simplicity of this print. So much so, I think I'm going to pull the trigger and buy it today.
And that rounds out this weeks favorites. Have you found anything around the web worth sharing?
I'd love to see it!
